It's a very sad morning........

I wasn't able to get online last night because the kids needed the computer for school work. I get on this morning and log onto my Facebook account only to find horrible news.

A girl that I went to school/was friends with for 6 years disappeared in 1993. Everyone(her family, friends, the police) has always thought that her ex-husband killed her. For 17 years noone has known what happened to her or where she was. I find out on Facebook this morning that they think they have finally found her remains in an old building they were tearing down. I don't know any other details as I don't get local channels. I'm going out this morning to get a paper and see if it has anything in it about it(I don't live in that town anymore).

I am just in shock. She and her family have been in my thoughts and prayers so many times over the years. I think everyone "knew" she was dead but hoped and prayed that she'd surface alive someday. Her poor daddy just about went nuts with grief and when he found out he was was termainally ill, finally killed himself. This family has suffered so much pain over the last 17 years. While my heart breaks for them, at least now they know she isn't coming home and can have a proper burial for her. I just want to cry!

i will add this family to my prayers. now that they have found the remains, i hope that her killer will be caught and dealt with accordingly.

If you rememeber the name of your home town paper, try googling it. A lot of them have web sites that you can read the news on.

I do that to keep up with what is going on in my home town.

There was nothing in the paper but I did find a small article about it on a tv channel website. It says that they were demolishing the building because of a search warrant the police had in connection with the disappearance of my friend. The police aren't saying anything but it was leaked to the tv channel that they did find human remains that they believe are her.

between my friends husband who died yesterday, and my friend who found out her husband was having an affair a few days ago....... well, life just kind of stinks right now for me...... sorry about your sad news - sad, indeed.
