Let me start by filling out this handy questionnaire.

How did you hear about frugal village? Google!

What interests you here? Learning ways to stretch our budget, and how to be more prepared for all sorts of things.

What will you contribute? Erm. My charming wit? :p And hopefully any tips that have done me well.

Do you know any other members here? Not yet, I don't think.

How many kids? Ages? One amazingly cool 10 year old boy

Tell us about yourself.

Do you own any pets? No pets, currently, I lost my feline kiddo to heart problems two years ago, and I'm still a little sketchy about bringing another pet into the home.

Occupation? I call myself an artist, but I'm also a stay at home stepmum, part time cat herder, and for fun family historian

Married or single? Not married under the law, but we've been in this for ten years now, so we might as well be.

Interests and hobbies? I like crafts of all sorts, creativity is fun.

I'm an amateur genealogist, garage sale junkie, and music lover. Of course there are lots more things I like, but this will surely do.

We just bought our first home, and I am very interested in the fact that this makes it much more feasible to move towards being more self sufficient than it was living in a tiny apartment. So, I'm very interested in learning all I can about useful gardening, storing, canning, and general preparedness.
