Such a helpless feeling being flooded, can't do much to stop it just pump out if you can and hope the rain stops. I'm sorry you all are going through this, so much rain for so many people when they really don't need more.
I live on a creek/river that has flooded and know what you are experiencing, take good care & I'll be hoping the rain leaves you all alone for quite a while.

A lot of northern NJ and parts of southern NJ is flooded too. I think we're lucky where we live because we haven't had any flooding but just one town away they've got it bad. They've evacuated a lot of towns nearby us.

My best friend lives in MA and she says it's awful. She has water in her basement and she says a pond is forming in her backyard.

    Please stay safe!

Flooding here too. We were very fortunate to have had a dry basement last time, but I'm not sure how much more we can take. My roof will need some repair when this is all over though.

My poor SIL had 4 feet of water in her basement a few weeks ago. I can't even imagine.

this morning wasn't so bad while i was typing this...in my yard, i mean. my front and back yard are flooding now. my neighbor on my right has her pump pumping out about 4 ft. from my land and all that area has been flooded from the last storm. now it is creeping over as it just has no where to go. now my neighbor in the back of me has about a 3 foot drop from the edge of my property down to his yard. he always has a skating ring back there even if it isn't much rain. i swear it is about to reach up to my fenceline in the back at any time. i have never seen anything this bad before. i can only imagine those that live near the rivers, creeks, etc.

I feel for you I have lived all my life along the Mighty Ohio River, and where I work is an island in the middle of the Ohio River. almost 5 years ago we had 2 Hurricanes come thru ina 2 week time. Our creeks flooded twice then our Ohio River flood. I lost my job and my house flooded. Ihope the rain stops. Our river has been up for the last 3 weeks, we thought we would flood again but we dodged the bullet.

The most you can do is move things to higher ground and pray that the rain stops.

We are in Mass too and we are pumping out for the first time in 18 years of living in this house. We have already pumped out about 800 gallons of water. It is better today. No more rain so far and only predicting showers. We will be drying out for the next couple of days. We only have a wet dry vac so it is going slower than we would like.

we heard about some houses where my husband used to live ( in churchill shores) in lakeville. we took a ride this morning with ma and my pups to see some of the worst of it. OMG!! i shouldn't have complained....i had it good to what sooo many others had to put up with. i can safely say that everyone in the state was pumping!!! when we were in the shores the water was up to halfway up the houses.....we seen a woman with high boots/waders? taking people to their cars on the higher street in a skiff. highway 140 is closed and the traffic is obscene on the detour. in rhode island the interstate is closed. can you imagine? the newsperson was in the middle of the highway in the middle of rush hour (timewise) just standing all alone in the flooded area. things that you never thought you would see!!!

I know exactly what you're talking about. At least 75% of my family lives in the Ohio Valley and some in Wheeling. Both of my grandmothers lost their houses in that flood with the hurricanes. One of my grandmothers had lived in her house all her adult life, it was the house my grandfather had been born in and lived in til he died.
