Default News Story - Tree Falls on woman while hanging laundry

Trying to save money costs this lady more money. I am sure her trip to the hospital was more than she was hoping for. I thought that since so many of us hang our laundry to dry I would share this story with you.

A Central Texas woman was injured Wednesday when a tree fell on her as she was hanging laundry to dry in the backyard of her home.

You can read the story here......

Wow - well I guess we have to go out and buy $2,000 washer dryer combos!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

OK, I have to say this. First, full disclosure, I was born a red-neck. We would have used Duck Tape a LOT more if we could afford it.

BUT, if you are going to use a tree to hold up a clothes line(s). Don't KILL the tree first. It's only a matter of time until it rots.

If you do insist on killing the tree, at least have it cut into a proper post and then cement it into the ground.

    I hope she is ok.

I've been hanging up clothes this morning...but there's not a tree around me! BUT... A guy I graduated with, last summer, was mowing under a tree, limb fell & hit him on the head & killed him.. .. never know when it's your time...

I have a lot of family in the logging business and they call the loose limbs hanging in the trees "Widow Makers"

The tree was dead, several clotheslines were strung to it, and it was windy - DUH!
