Hanging out with my future daughter in law and looking at a few wedding venues with her and her grandmother. I am glad to be included in her wedding research. Her mother lives in New York and we live in Florida. It is fun to see all that the brides these days have choices with. (in some cases too many) I didn't do all that with my own so this is new to me.

Today I woke up with my cat sitting there hovering over my head looking at me. She had a very bliss full look on her face.

I took advantage of the nice day to take a drive to find the property my great great great grandfather settled when he came to America from England in the mid 1800's. A shed was built on the original foundation of the log house that was first on the property. Wow...what a small space for a family to live in with 4 kids! They lived in the cabin until a house was built. The house he built for his family is still there too.

Going to the store by myself! It was so quiet. No one asking for things, no searching for DS2 (all over the store) who just wanted to look at something quick and then disappeared (he's 15 and it's so uncool to be seen with Mom) No saying, would you please stop touching, looking, fill in the blank your brother. It was so peaceful, and that short mental break today brought me lots of Joy!
