    Default This should be BANNED!

Root canal this am. I'm laying on the table (chair?), legs are shaking, I'm gripping the arm rests (to keep from fleeing the freakin' room!), I'm nervous sweating onto the plastic they put on the table (chair?). The song 'Freak Out!' comes on their office music.

This should absolutely be banned, people! No FREAK OUT songs allowed in the DDS office!

Can you tell I have a little bit of DDS phobia? Not so much?

Yikes! I had a root canal done years ago and I gripped the chair so hard my chest was sore for days afterward. One day you will look back at the scene and think it is funny. Just not today.

I had to have a root canal the day before my birthday. It wasnt too bad except that my jaw popped out of place. That was sore for days afterwards.

I would have probably taken the song as an omen. hahaha.

Gosh I'm sorry you have such dentist anxiety. I did when I was much younger and as a kid. Probably because my dentist wasn't that nice.

I've never had a painful root canal. Sometimes the tooth can take a few weeks to settle down after the procedure but that's it.

Try this (I do) Think of people with dentures and just tell yourself you will do whatever it takes to keep your natural teeth. I use this in reference to my dental bills!

OUCH! Take some time to heal and rest. A cold beer and a good movie could help, right?!

Ha...okay, I'll let them know that song is not allowed. It's actually sung by Le Chic. I loved to rollerskate to that song when I was little.

LOL! Poor thing. I was about to tell you that it's by Le Chic, but I was beat out by Samigirl. I actually danced to it in a talent show when I was in the 4th grade.

I would take an ipod with you (if there is a next time) It helps block out some of the noise. You can create your own little world

I wish I had that choice.
Only very specialist dentists can do that here.

    You have my sincere sympathy...

It was the dentist telling me when I was 14-years old, "This is going to hurt you more than it hurts me." that freaked me out. What an absurdly out-of-place "joke".
