This site has been flying all over the net. Scary pretty much but has a ton of info wrong... I wish I had a house worth a million... lol It knows my dh's sign but no pics pull up but it has our home address and the right phone number.....gah...

Searched it on my name and it came up the same..

this is probably from public records. property taxes or federal income taxes.

it knew my sign because somewhere i had to give a birthdate.

I am totally insulted ~ I looked up my DH and it said I am his MOTHER and in my 90s. Good grief!

It did have some of the info correct, though, but nothing that somebody can't find out in a number of places on the internet.

Mine was mostly right, as well as the family I also searched. It didn't have pictures or anything. I realize it's all stuff you can find elsewhere on the internet, but it's a little unnerving to have it all available in one place, without any effort involved.

If you click on privacy at the bottom there is a way to remove your listing.

Yeah, it looks like most of it is pulled from public records, name and address matched up with census data about your neighborhood. Possibly some consumer data from credit card databanks -- that info does get bought and sold, you know.

Fortunately for me, they only have my name and street address, no phone, and their personal info they guessed at because it is all wrong.

Well, it says right for me, but says my husband is in his 70's. LOL!

And it says our home iw worth 1million dollars. I wish.

It does however list my in-laws. It says they live in a middle class neighborhood in a millon dollar home. Middle class neighborhoods have million dollar homes? Really??? I can just imagine them trying to list their home for a million, they'd never get a single person to come look at their property.

That said, it was a relief not to find myself listed, even if the information was messed up.

I checked for the Old Man... it has him living at this address (with my husband???? ) but only for 1 year. He's been here 7 years this June.

I went and removed my parents and dh and myself from their site.

They had so much wrong information it was funny.

It was off on the value of our house too, but right on about most other things. There are other sites like this and, by using a combination of them, people can find out a lot about you.

There are also pay sites where people can buy information about you. In my opinion, online privacy is little more than an illusion.

These are way wrong. Says I am not married and I have kids. Both are wrong, lol. Also says I am into bird watching, HAHAHAHAHA. False!

As for my dad says he is a clerical worker which is false, says he has no kids which is wrong to, lol. And it says he is not interested in politics which is really wrong.

that's intersting - too bad they got some details wrong, such as I like to go shopping! but oh well - all someone needs is your name & they can print out a map to your house - I give up.... I'll just have to hope that I don't make any enemies along the way
