My Changing Diet
Since I have been shopping really frugal, I have become vegetarian without even trying: lots of bulk grains, beans, veggies. I very occasionally eat meat (like maybe once every three weeks), although I still eat eggs and drink milk (powdered).
I have lost weight and have more energy!

Congrats but just try to ensure you have enough of the right types of proteins in your beans/legumes. My sisters friend went hardcore vegetarian then vegan and had to go back to vegetarian. She was deficient in proteins
She eats the tiniest bit of fish or seafood now if even but she does eat it when shes not feeling 100%

Congrats on the weight loss. Sounds as if you are eating a healthier diet. Libby is right as far as getting the right nutrients. You might want to look at some vegetarian cook books that will give you some tips. Rice and beans make a complete protein. Eating just beans will give you protein just not a complete protein. Fortunately rice and beans is very frugal!!
Hope you have continued success in your frugal habits.

DH would love to go veggie, but he is so picky and fickle about food, and it is difficult to make extras, plus I'm very conscious of the junk soy products out there. So as much as I would like to go veg, it's not quite in the picture right now. I have been veg a couple times over the years and LOVE it!
