New girl here..
Hi everyone! I'm very excited I found this forum.. I'm 23 years old and from Canada. Some of my friends/family joke about how "cheap" I am. I've just always been frugal. I think it's because growing up there wasn't much money around. I remember eating no name mac and cheese with hot dog wieners a lot of times.
Now I could go on and on describing how I was poor into my teen years, but I won't .. as an adult I've been good as I don't have a car or any debts or kids. I did live in Mexico frugally for 4 months so I do have some experience living only on necessities..
What caused me to join Frugal Village is that I will be going to school in Fall (been excepted) and I could use all the great advice. I've never been to university or college before because I never could afford it. I'm going to live frugally, save every single penny.. and of course I'll have to apply for a loan and just do it. I've picked up on a lot of great tips from others here ..
Thanks so much and nice to meet you.
