    Default Is it just me...

or does it seem like things have been slower in here than usual? Why aren't there more posts? What is everyone doing? Where are the frugal posts? Where are the ghost posts? Where are the crazy neighbor/inlaw/teacher/boss/dh/dw/relative posts? Is everyone just being so frugal that they don't have time to post? Come on....let's read some good stuff....lol!

Hey, I've got it...everyone's on vacation!? Darn! I wish I was on vacation....

I've been working away from home (this means my days are longer and often too exhausted to do anything other than sleep/eat). Part of me is hoping that it's because others are working as well although I'm worried that with the economy continuing down the road it is and Benefits may be reaching the end of the rope that perhaps some have had to give up internet to cut costs further.

Busy trying to get my house ready to sell, I know at least two others are doing the same. I'm posting, but mostly house related and not much energy left for lighter chat.

Also, I think a lot of people are busy outside this time of year.

I have noticed the same thing and was thinking about posting about it too.

If it's any consolation to you I may just write about relatives tomorrow. Heck I may have a few posts up my sleeve.

I have just spent an afternoon with my intensely sweet but naive parents in law and I had to bite my tongue repeatedly not to say anything that they would a) take the wrong way b) turn into an argument or c) become upset about. (They are both 81 and both in various degrees of (extremely) bad health.)

OH I am getting all worked up about this now.
Suffice to say that it really got to me that they were almost turning psycho into a 'misunderstood nice girl' and that no one appreciated her and they never saw the separation between her and my (stupid) bil coming.

OK I am going to stop now .

If I calm down enough I will write about this tomorrow.

    Nice weather....doing more things outside.
We been getting our garden in.

Economy is still not the greatest and you have people who are laid off and still cutting back to make ends meet. Which may include no internet now or dialup. And then you have people hitting the 99 weeks, and stll no jobs, and they won't be counted in the unemployment numbers, so the gov't will say things are getting better. So some people are making some hard decisions on their budgets. All the governmnet has done is extend ending dates. They have not added on any more weeks of money.

This happens at this time of the year, every year. It will pick up again. People are busy outside getting their gardens ready and doing yard work. So don't fret.

I've been writing in my Frugal Village blog instead of creating a new post 'cause I am not asking a question or seeking input, just sort of babbling about my progress or lack thereof.

I no longer have access through my work computer, and in the evenings at home I often have other things to do.

i agree that it's the time of the year... we were all miserably 'cooped-up' with all the crappy winter and now that it has broken we are like a bunch of school kids at the end of a long day....we are too busy running wild through the streets at the moment....

its cold & rainy here today...hence i'm trying to get caught up on the puter...but there has been quite a few days lately that i haven't even turned this thing on....then the e-mails have piled up and i have to spend time getting thru them....

i am so far behing posting in my challenges that i don't even know what day i posted last...i'm lucky to just get things read for now....

I've always been a bit of a lurker, I hit new posts and read much more than I post. I too, have noticed a slide in the posts, but sometimes I think it's the time I'm checking.
