For all you coffee lovers
I came this while reading this morning:
"Every morning I get up and make myself a cup of coffee. This coffee, once drunk, enlivens me enough to make more coffee, to consume throughout the day."

Makes sense to me, though it's strictly tea for me. It's from Ammon Shea, Reading the OED.Donna

It's so true, all that first cup of coffee does is give me enough energy to make the second.

So true. Allthough I just quit drinking coffee. I've not had a drop in 2 weeks and I'm excited to see if it'll last. I ran out of coffee 2 weeks ago and then two days later I broke the coffee pot so I took it as a sign to stop drinking it.

I pretty much drink coffee from the moment I get out of bed until I go back to bed at night. Other than a glass or two of unsweetened iced tea, coffee is all I drink.

I usually only have a couple cups in the morning. Sometimes fresh, other times reheated from the day before. During winter, I'll usually have a cup when I get to work at 2 PM, but during the summer that switches to tea.
I gave up on sugar in my coffee when I got tired of taking time between the pouring and the drinking. Black coffee all the way!
