    Smile Newbie from NY

    Hello community! I am glad to have found this website, I hope to learn from as well as contribute to this community. I am 32 year old single parent to a soon to be 17 year old(college is less than two years away). The cost of living is so high here in NY especially Westchester County. I make a "good living" however I never have any money. I know part of it's my unwise spending however I want to change that and still have a wonderful quality of life (if that's possible.......LOL). Glad to be here!

    Any suggestion on where I should begin on the site?

    Welcome. Where to begin? It all depends on where you want to save and what your interests are. One of the best things to do is figure out a monthly budget then to see where you can cut down on spending from there. Another good tip area is utilities.

    It really is a matter of what will work best for you. Some times there is trial and error. What works well for one person may not for another person. Have fun looking through all the great information here.

    I suggest you 'cruise' through some of the challenges to see if they might help you.......and sign up for the ones that will help you 'stay focused' on your goals.
