Years ago our cable company had a contest. I entered hoping to win a color TV (2nd place prize). I won the first place prize - a home alarm system. I was SO disappointed! We got the alarm system installed, but I still wanted a TV!
Last month we went to our local Harley dealership for an open house. While you were there if you texted them, they would text you back and you would either win a 10% coupon good for all purchases that day or a chance to spin the wheel.
Hubby got the 10% coupon and I got a chance to spin the wheel. I won a $275 Bulova Harley Davidson watch.Mary
I won 2nd place! Made it to the top 4 finalists for the ultimate biker makeover!

FHG, many congratulations on your win.
We have won a couple of things over the years, the best one was just over 4 years ago.
We won an all expenses paid trip to the winter Olympics in Turin for
2.
The trouble was the we couldn't go so we gave the trip to our oldest 2 sons. They had a WONDERFUL time and even sat near our crown prince and his family there.
I had hoped to win for this year's Olympic games but unfortunately nothing.
Our second son won seats for one of the games in the European football cup when they were held in Holland a few years ago.
Also our daughter entered a poetry competiition and was picked out to be published - this was her prize.*Avril*

Mom to Laurens (30), Timothy (26), Dimmen (24), Lloyd (23) and Fiori (21).
May - no spend days 8/15
May - hanging laundry loads 3
May - no eat out 13/15
May - baking 1/1

I've won lots of things. I enter local radio and newspaper contests and have won all kinds of things.
A giant easter basket full of chocolates, movie tickets, orchestra tickets, restaurant GC's are the usual things.
But the biggest things I have won was from your help! A $1000 last spring and a little lap top where you all voted for me. I LOVE YOU!
The most recent thing our family won was my daughter won a bike from our drugstore. We are still waiting for it's delivery.
I enter every local raffle I see.... because you never know.
I don't ever buy any lottery tickets though. And I have bought raffle tickets (the kind children sell for fundraisers) but have never won those, ever... LOL.
So free draws are best.

The only memorable thing I ever *won* was a KA mixer....it was actually was a freebie when I purchased a KA Washer/Dryer in 1986!
I don't enter contests.....or buy lottery tickets...or gamble.Stinkbug

When I was 14 I went with my family to a Sunday breakfast at the local snowmobiler's club - I won a case of motor oil as one of the door prizes. I gave it to my stepfather.

Congratulations on all of you who have won prizes big and small. I've never won anything worth more that about 10 dollars in my entire life. Most of my wins are stuff like Monopoly food from McDonald's or perhaps a candy bar or other food item. I do enter local contests if I see them and national contests that are on line that don't require a heavily detailed autobiography. Sometimes when I do a rebate a contest is also involved and I'm automatically entered. However, I still don't win.

Congrats on your win. That is great. Three of my favorite wins are when I was 12 I wrote a story in a magazine and got a stand back I'm a maniac t-shirt
, the next favorite thing was at a carnival when I was in high school I won one of those cheesy Madonna mirrors-huge Madonna fan and the third I won the pick 3 lottery playing my daughter's birthday. It wasn't a lot of money, it was just neat to win with her birthday

Last year I won a trip to Vermont for Mardi Gras. Pretty weird, but it was for a beer/ale company. Stayed at the Hilton and everything, pretty fun. I won a diamond chip heart shaped neacklace in a newspaper drawing, a $500 credit to an internet site that didn't stay open long enough for me to spend it, and lots of little goodies.

What a fun thread! Thanks everyone, for sharing your wins!
In second grade (Catholic school) I won a statue of the Blessed Mother. I won a sewing pattern once. Last week on an Australian web site, I won an embroidery book gifted from a lady in New Zealand. That's about it!
