Three moms on a fun, free, field trip!
Has anyone ever stayed at or visited the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs? Not frugal at all, but honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Today a couple friends and I took a tour of it and browsed the little shops there. The hotel and especially the grounds are TO DIE FOR! There is a beautiful little lake with a walkway all around it, gorgeous trees and gardens, and a spectacular view of the mountains . . . my jaw must have been hitting the ground the whole time! It was exquisite!! Sitting outside there today in the courtyard with the sun shining and taking in the scenery was like a little slice of heaven! It was also really fun to see a couple walls inside the hotel covered with pictures of presidents, celebrities, actors, olympians, etc. that have stayed there. Thanks for indulging me, I just had to share!

Mahalo for sharing. I have never been there, but have heard a lot about it over the years. what a wonderful treat for you and your friends.

Sounds great but now you have me thinking about Mackinaw Is. and the Grand Hotel. I'm so glad you had a good time.

I would love to go someday and do the Sunday brunch.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
