Default mom has made my day :)

as you all know, ma has been living with us since march. she is soooooo happy here. she tells us almost every other day. she has been going through a lot lately with selling her house, and getting rid of most of her stuff.

well, she loves my puppies to death......lol.........so..... we brought her to the pound today. she got a puppy of her own. a mix of shitzu and terrier. we have to wait another week to see if it is claimed. we have a pretty good chance of getting it as it has no chip in its ear. so they do not know who the owner is. the dog seemed really lovable as it wagged it's tail all the time we were with it.

she was filling up when she seen the dog. she picked the name herself. "moony"

when we came home we were sitting out in the yard and she said "i am complete". you couldn't get the smile off of her face......lol

she only had one dog about 50 years ago.....i think my father had given it away after a short while to a farmer he knew. he didn't want animals.

How wonderful for your mom to have a daughter like you. Long after she is gone you will always have a memory of that day. It's a sweet story, you should journal it.

Wow how wonderful you could make her so happy. So many people choose to see it as a bad thing when they move in with there adult children , but really it can be wonderful.

Hope things go her way with the dog. Sounds like they're made or each other!

That's wonderful!!! I don't know how things work where you are, but here for adoptions of animals it is first come, first serve...so the morning the pup becomes available I'd be there by the door before they even open. If I wouldn't have done that when we adopted Misty, I would have been too late. Someone showed up shortly after they opened, but while I was there...they wanted the same one I had picked out.
