Hello all, how is everyone?
I haven't been around for a while
and I really need to get myself into gear. I do still try and be frugal - i did for a while manage to do the grocery shop every 4 weeks rather than 2 but that has stopped, so i need to get that started up again.
I cleared my CC but due to lots of dental trips and laziness the CC hit the limit again
The limit is only £800. It doesnt sound like a lot until you have to pay it all back. I have a plan for that and i have just started working on that.
Just got a few more things to pay for the wedding in August. Mainly need to save up enough cach to take with us on the honeymoon trip.
I do still use freecycle - but they have re-named it here to Freegle. IDK.
I really need to get back on here.Kelly & DH Alex ♥

Good to see you back on FV. I imagine that you must be really busy planning for the wedding. Don't get discouraged about the cc. It's easy to get off track from time to time, especially when you have something big happening (or about to happen) in your life. At least you have a plan in place to pay it off.

My plan for the CC is that ive written down all the charges ive made to it since getting it cleared and put them in a big long list. I am making sure on a payday that I pay off some of the things i have bought and tick them off once they are done. It's on paper at the minute put needs to go in excel so i can change it around. I aim to pay off 3-4 small items a payday and then pay off the bigger ones (like dentist at £68.80) off once a payday.

Hi,
Welcome back. We've entered a new age of austerity at our house so you're not alone in needing to tighten the belt!

i am fine with squeezing the belt tight for as long as possible, it's just that FDH gets bored and wants to go out and spend - just for something to do so I do have to try and compromise. He does know the limits and if he wants something will ask if i can get it on payday if we can afford it, atleast he is thinking about it more

Really? maybe it's the time of year.
I have been on much for a few months and im trying to get back to my frugal ways.
I've had a good day so far. I looked at my budget and realised i'd gone wrong on my dates and added in a bill that wasnt due, so i now have 140 spare
so i treated me & FDH to a takeout pizza and i am going to save the rest.
