Did you have a hope chest growing up
My parents got me one for my 13th birthday and I remember fondly filling it with items I felt I would need when I got married.
Did you have one?

I had one, a trunk my Mother painted with flowers.... I filled it with many treasures before stricking out on my own.... Some I still have, like the cut crystal vase my Mother put in it !!!!!

I had my grandfathers steamer trunk for a hope chest. I remember what was in it still have some of it. but i don't remember what happened to the trunk. *my SIL did get my mothers cedar chest. *
