Instead Of Feeling Bad...
...when you can't afford (or are not willing) to buy something, do you ever make a game of it? Try to challenge yourself to find an alternative for free?

Oh, yeah, all the time!
Most things are on my garage sale list at this time of year (sadly, next big purchase will be computer which I think I probably need to buy new) or on a thrift shop list, then I wait for them to come to me.
But something's I just can just as easily live without if I reframe my thinking.BEF: $$120/$1000

I'm just starting to do this conciously - but I think I have been doing this all my life - probably why I started sewing so young - to have the clothes I wanted but could never afford!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

We've done this , since the kids were little. . .
"how long can we make the jar of peanut butter last?
"how long can we go before we have to go to the grocery store again?"
"can we not waste any food this week?"

I do that all the time. Why suffer or be miserable when you can find joy, goodness and fun in just about everything?

I challenge myself to not leave the house on a daily basis. If I leave the house, then I spend money.

I can't recall feeling bad about not being able to get something, for whatever reason there may be. If I can't/won't get something, I have a valid reason, and I accept that reason.
