Canceled cable and home phone
It just seemed like a waste of money anyway. I am keeping my internet for awhile since I will be signing up for college soon hopefully.

I haven't had cable in over 12 years, and haven't really missed it any. I do have a house phone, though, since I don't have a cell phone any more.

We did the same thing about year or two ago. Honestly I don't miss it at all. We have one of the converter boxes which lets us watch the tv still. We get tons of channels too. I am proud o you! Great Job!

Right now I am a CNA in a nursing home. My plan is to go to get my EMT certification. Then I want to go to school to be a paramedic. I was thinking of joining the police academy after paramedic school but I am not sure if I would be able to because of the hours. I also think cops don't make enough for what the job requires. So if I don't join the academy, I will probably bridge over to get my RN while I work as a paramedic.

We didn't have cable for about 7yrs except the 8months when I lived at an apartment and it came with basic cable. I got the cable around Christmas time but never really spend enough time watching it! It will be nice to have the extra money every month. The cable is still working so it must take them a couple days to turn it off.

Yeah now that I am in the city without so many trees I am going to re-connect my converter boxes. Do you have an antennae with yours? I just have the older box television sets. I can't see paying so much money for a new hd t.v. when these work so well. I am not sure if I will have to go get anything else to make the channels come in...
