Have never done this before.....
In 46 years of wearing contact, today was a first for me......... I knew that I was having a little problem seeing fine print out of my left eye today (my close vision contact eye) - but didn't think much of it until........
....I went to take out my contacts and realized that I didn't have one in my left eye. Found it on the counter all dried up - no wonder I had trouble reading today!! Darn things are so comfortable I never know if they are in or not!!
Note to self: Check contacts after putting them in!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Happened to DD she thought it got lost somewhere in her eye and was going to have to go to the eye doctor to find it. Her eye was watering all day and bothering her.
Low and behold when she went to take the other one out it was sitting on the counter in her bathroom.Debra

I've done this too! Glad you found it! Usually you can put the contact in solution and it comes back to life again. Oh, the stories I can tell you about my life with contacts! Lost them in my eye, in the bathroom, found them in weird places . . . I have a love/hate relationship with them for sure!

I never did that before but a couple years ago when I was wearing contacts I thought I had to go to the hospital to get one taken out. My eyes were dry and I blinked and one contact slid all the way up my eye under my eyelid. I freaked out, called my mother into the bathroom and begged her for help. She didn't know what to tell me. I got so worked up and upset that I almost started to cry. Once my eyes teared up the contact came loose and it went back into place. LOL. I laughed at myself afterwards.

I need to get used to them. Yesterday I was taking off some makeup and rubbing my eye. Of course a contact lens popped out. Need to remember this will happen.
