Please consider contacting the local realtors in that area...make it clear upfront that you are looking for 'rentals' only...alot of times, even if they don't have any 'listings' they know a guy who knows a guy sort of thing that might have something for rent.
Or even a "community bulletin board" at the local grocery store or hardware store.
Moving from the city to out in the middle of nowhere myself, you find out that word of mouth is the quickest way to find out what you need to know.
Good Luck to you & you're husband!
Sorry...I guess I am a little late in posting a reply~~lol
Congratulations to you on finding a new place!!!!
I'm so happy to hear that things are working out so well for you, and it sounds to me like this might be more of an ideal situation anyhow because you figure...this place won't be sold, unless the owner is planning on moving as well~hahaha
I agree with everyone else, it sounds to me like you're former landlord was hoping for things to work out to benefit himself with no regards to you...I mean c'mon...you've been dealing with showings and work being done on the home while he tries to sell it, he surely didn't give you any thought when he was making 'his' to-do list~Last edited by cheles2kids; 07-12-2010 at 11:31 AM.
