Default WARNING! B of A phishing emails

    Just an FYI...
In the past week I have gotten 3 emails, supposedly from Bank of America but it turns out they are just phishing emails.

BofA does NOT ask for any information via email. Be careful.

We have been getting those also. It was kind of obvious as it went into the wrong email account but the filter also caught it.

Everyone should be aware of ANY bank asking for their personal banking info...not just 'B of A'. Banks would never email you, they'd send a letter via post or call you in person usually.

    Thanks....good info to know.

haven't gotten any email but about a month ago I was getting phone calls from a bank (probably got 5 over a 2 month period)........hung up. They would start out "this is bank so and so, nothing is wrong with your acct... blah...blah...blah" If they want to communicate with me.......snail mail me!

We got the BofA email too. We also got one from someone claiming to be an FBI agent...this "agent" was using an AOL address! Dh thought that one was particularly funny. So he called the local FBI office to clue them in on this email and also told them that he was sure if they really wanted to get hold of him they would just come out to the house.
