venting!
I'm still really upset about my jewelry being stolen. Especially my original wedding rings. Sigh! I have exhausted every avenue. Here is to hoping the thief (since they were a guest) gets a conscience and I can at least get my wedding ring back.
Sorry to use chat for venting but everyone is pretty sick of me still being so upset because what is done is done ya know. However I'm still mourning my can not be replaced wedding ring

I know how you feel. When we moved our movers got into my stuff (I had stuffed away separately from the moving van stuff) and stole my wedding rings and diamond college ring my parent had bought me instead of the "traditional" class ring. It is 8 years later and even though every single one of them were fired, I'm still bummed.

Have you thought about going to the police? Even if you do not press charges, sometimes people confess to the police quicker than they would to someone they know.

2ndgen I'm so sorry! That is just awful!!!
Laine I did file a police report. Didn't seem to do much
I'd totally skip charges just to get that one piece back. They all were sentimental but that one in particular. You know one of the bracelets was a gold id bracelet with my name on it I got as a baby. Its not like they could wear it. GRRRR I am mad!

This happened to me 26 years ago, my neighbors brother took my wedding rings. If you can, call every pawn shop around you, or people that are buying gold. It really helps if you have a picture you can show them. The police never did anything and I never got them back. My neighbor didnt want to turn him in cause she didnt want to make waves with hm. Never talked to her again. Insurance paid for a new set, but its just not the same. We even renewed our vows with the new rings, its still not the same. I hope you can find them, I know it hurts bad.
You might keep your eye on craigs list and ebay for them selling them.Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

I have talked to the pawn shops. I never thought of craigs list thanks so much!!!!! Looked on ebay. I'm 99% sure it was a teenager. I even called a few jewelers as not everyone wears a 4.5 and they may go into get sized. My kids are watching girlfriends of these guys fingers etc. I have talked to the folks of the kids that were here. No luck anywhere! I'm missing 3 gold bracelets and 4 rings.
It is the emotional value of that original wedding set not the 1500. What dh went through to get the $ to buy it makes it priceless and I'd gladly pay 3-4 x that 1500 if I had to to have it back. Why on earth could they have stolen the replacement set he got me one anniversary because he thought I needed better than the original set ???? It is way more valuable, ensured and not emotional! Oh because it wasn't where the rest were
I am so sorry you knew who it was and still didn't get them back! I can not even imagine how hurt any angry you were! Hugs~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

You are welcome, I hope you find yours, with gold being so high I thought they might try to get the money for them.
The emotional part never really heals, it kinda stays with you, every once in awhile I say I wish I had my old rings back.I cannot beleive that someone would actually steal someones wedding rings, yep I'm still angry & upset. I feel so bad for you, thats alot of jewerly to be missing. Good Luck!Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

A very good friend of mine had his house broken into a few years ago. The theives were caught a few months later. Apparently their "Business model" was to steal from the locals during the winter months and then sale everything at yard sales during the summer months to travelers, the police caught on and some minor things were returned.
About 2 years after it happened they received a call from the police. Apparently the theives had thrown my friends wife's jewelry box down in a ditch along the side of the road. A man walking happen to see it. He climbed down the bank to see what it was and then took it to the police. Believe it or not her favorite ring was still inside! The box was of course ruined after 2 years of mountain weather, but the ring was just as good as ever.
I hope something like this happens to you.

Sorry to hear that this happened... it is so sad that some have to resort to stealing things... And with metals being high now this is happening so often. we are in the business of buying and selling jewelry and we get calls all the time by folks that had items stolen... we have once bought a piece and we returned it to the rightful owner... we are very carefull who we buy from and get propper id and all.
My advice is to all DO NOT let your valuables out for anyone to find they should be locked up in a strong box or hidden.... you never know who has sticky fingers...
