    Default I was sound asleep last night when...

    I heard a noise that sounded like someone breaking into my garage. Either that, or maybe another cat out in the carport. So, I whipped open the door from my room that leads to the garage. Nobody was in there. I still heard the noises and now heard clearly at least 2 male voices. I thought maybe they were trying to break into my car in the carport. I whipped open the side door and that is when I figured out what it was. 2 teenage boys were freaking SKATEBOARDING on MY driveway at 1:15 a.m. I yelled at them to get off my property NOW or I was calling the police. I also added how DARE they do this when people are trying to sleep. At least they said "sorry, ma'am" and left quietly. Next time I will tell them that they are lucky I didn't shoot first and ask questions later. Darn idiot kids. Good thing for them I am not some nut who went flying out there with a gun or something. I didn't even have my baseball bat on me at the time. Good thing I didn't need it. I really should have had it just in case!

    I'm wondering...well b/c they apologized they're not total hoodlums with no respect right? But imagine had you gone out there with a weapon?! They'd have thought you were beyond crazy and be sure to never do it again though.

    Good for you for scaring the heck outta them - hopefully that will teach them to mind their manners, time and noise level once the sun goes down.

    Good grief...good thing they were doing that to you guys and not us...you were sooooooo much nicer than I would've been at that time...I would've let the "boys" out... ((Between the German Shepherd and the Rottweiler, there would've been a whole lot of chomping going on! lol) Bet they wouldn't have been skating on anyone else's property again!

    Typical teens... totally self absorbed. Probably hadn't a clue they were noisy or that people were sleeping... after all they weren't. LOL.

    Glad it wasn't a thief...

    We don't have that problem here. We have a curfew for teens and the tickets get pretty expensive. First is a warning, 2nd is $50, and 3rd or more is $250 per.

    Wow. Kids skateboarding at one am in someone else's driveway. Certainly an offense punishable by death by dogs or shooting? I don't know, seems a bit harsh of a response? Idiot kids? Were they drunkenly doing donuts on someone's front lawn tearing up the grass then I guess I could see such a reaction. Everything seems much louder in the wee hours, someone walking down the road here when it's that late is very audible. I would imagine skateboarding would seem all the louder simply because of the time. I'm not saying it was right of them to use your property without permission. I also know it's irritating to be awoken by anyone who keeps different hours. They were respectful when you confronted them, you said they apologized and left quietly. They can't be all bad, right? They probably just didn't realize they were being a nuisance. Teens are like that, their world revolves around them. Can't imagine what their parents were thinking, letting kids out at that time of night - or morning. If anyone is the idiot, it's the parents. I guess I am just surprised to hear all you women talk of killing others' kids. Even in jest, it just sounds wrong.

    FF;

    Teens with common sense. I don't think there are any. Especially boys. I raised 3 of them. LOL

    I do think they were respectful and by saying sorry didn't realize how loud they were being.
