    Default lowlifes

first i live in the woods and theres a big tree covered gully between me and the next road and row of houses i think some low lifers have moved into the area cant see which house it is but it is somewhere to my left backside of my land -last night at 12:30 there was very very loud music and someone either lighting a firecracker or shooting a gun don't know and don't care i called the police and told them what i heard and in the hour the music was turned off still we don't need that kind of people in this area im sorry most here are retired or work days its a very nice quiet neighborhood hope they get the idea its not cool to disturb the people around here -im sure i wasn't the only one to cal lthe police
its better to have and not need than need and not have

sadly, problems like that are everywhere. I live on 10 acres of what used to be a quiet, peaceful farming community. Until the neighbors from hell moved in. Now they have a dirt bike track with all the neighbor kids coming over. So much for peace and quiet.

It drives me nuts when people aren't considerate of others. Hope this is the last of the noise for you marlas1too. And I'm sorry to hear what's moved in next to you Russ.

I hate it when someone invades my space too. Living on the creek we often have people fishing, swimming, kayaking & tubing. They all scream at each other, drives me nuts since I usually only hear the birds singing.

I'm too much of a boy. My first thought in that situation would be to talk with the respectable neighbors and invite them over for a 0500 neighborhood target shoot the next morning after another noise event. Especially if one of the neighbors happens to have a Federal Machinegun permit or a Barrett light 50.

Neighbours! I've had good and bad, mostly good. It can change your whole world when you have bad neighbours because you have no place to relax and let your guard down! And that can affect your whole outlook on life.

    Good luck handling things!

PS - The lady with the 50 cats would send me over the edge...seriously!?

We have some neighbors across the street that are like that. It used be be loud music at all hours, lots of coming and going, beer cans in the street, but the teenagers grew up and had to get jobs and it's a lot more quiet over there now. We haven't had to call the police in, maybe two years now. Most of the noise now is from their trashy ghetto friends who visit.

I would continue to call the police every time there was any noise, past the time of the 'noise ordinance', in your area. They will get tired of being hassled and the police will get tougher with them.

Gees.......maybe we could do some trade of some neighbors from hell............I have one too, on the east side of my house. Not noise related but so many weeds and crap that it pulls down the value of the neighborhood. (and makes my weeding my front a double job!)

ferny.....50 cats? Any sort of animal ordinance in your area? Yeow........I can smell that from here!! Might be tempted to do some trapping.........

Wow, at least they stopped when the cops showed up! I had a problem with atv's, trucks, etc in a sandpit out in front of where I used to live. It was private property and people would show up all hours to use the land to go driving around VERY loudly. There even used to be a fence but some idiots tore it down to trespass. I think about half the sheriffs in the county know me now lol. I used to have to call at least several times a week. That didn't work though, they still rode around out there since the cops didn't bother chasing them and couldn't get their cars out there. Sorry you have crappy new neighbors. I am a very light sleeper and I become evil when my sleep is disturbed.

The world would be a better place if everyone stayed inside and watched tv, I guess.

We have 2 driveways to our house, one that we rarely use. So our neigbhors were using our 2nd driveway consistently.....a female visitor would pull up there, and the neighbors would come out to visit w/ her. Next thing I knew, we had dirty baby diapers in our drive!!! AHHHH I waited until I saw them pull up again and marched my happy tail end over and told them point blank.."Get your poopy diaper and stay off of my property!" Luckily they did and have not caused us anymore problems.

Still have a group of hoodlum teenage boys, smoking, yelling and playing hackisak at all hours of the night across from us though.

I hear your frustration. Wish I had the magic answer. Don't think I haven't thought of baking up some extra special laxative brownies though....

I hate to be the one going against the grain here but was it only one night? or was it night after night after night. I mean can't you tolerate one night??

And aren't you being a bit harsh calling them "lowlifes" when you haven't met them and don't even know what house they live in??

sorry...I know that is not the popular answer on this thread

I was thinking the same thing. I know when hubby came home on leave from Iraq, we had a big bbq that lasted into the wee hours of the morning. I wonder what the neighbors were thinking about us???
