Greetings from SoDak
Hey all,
I registered awhile ago...but finally found some time to actually sit down and punch some keys here. I found a questionnaire that the newbies were supposed to fill out...so here goes...
How did you hear about frugal village?
A good friend of mine recommended checking this site out. We have a mutual interest in death to debt...and a common reason why it seems to be so hard. LOL
What interests you here?
I love DIY projects. I try to do most of the automotive stuff around the house, and would love to be able to do more home projects on my own. I am toying with the idea of making my own diesel fuel.
What will you contribute?
Tough to answer. Depends upon the questions I see and am able to answer. I generally live by the rule that its better to be quiet and look like a fool, than to open my mouth and prove it.
Do you know any other members here?
Russ
How many kids? Ages?
Two daughters, 14 and 12. They are into hockey. The oldest also loves dance and volleyball. The youngest is into soccer also. Both delight in being a pain in my backside, and have made it an art form.
Tell us about yourself.
Been married now for 17 years this September...best 14 years of my life I tell ya. I work for the Weather Service and have been with them for 22 years. I enjoy gardening, bike riding, reading, storms, working on anything with an engine, long walks on the beach, soft music...whoops...got carried away. LOL
Do you own any pets?
One 2yr old yellow lab (Lily) and an assortment of outdoor cats. The number changes with the season.
Occupation?
Warning Coordination Meteorologist
Married or single?
Still married...
Interests and hobbies?
We live on 3 acres surrounded by mature fruit trees (apple, cherry, plum, apricot and pear) Just recently began making homemade wine...the fun is taste testing...unless I've reinvented battery acid. My favorite so far is "RazziRhu" (Strawberry Rhubarb and Raspberries)
Anyway...that's the long and short of it. Looking forward to lurking around...offering cheap...ok free...advice when asked for and will try to be an asset to the site.
