Full time RV'ers?
I was wondering if there were any full time RV'ers on here? We are contemplating this lifestyle. We own a home now and daughter is graduating next May. Here's where the issue has come up. I was layed off 7 months ago and have found a very well paying job 4 hrs away from home. So, I have been living in a 5th wheel during the week and driving home on the weekends. I have been looking for work at home, but have not found anything or even the possibility of anything coming open soon. If we did sell and move into an RV/5th wheel full time, we would be able to save enough money that if I were layed off again, we wouldnt have to worry and we would be able to quickly move where the next job put us. What are your thoughts on this? If any of you have done this lifestyle, what are the pros and cons?
We just want to make an informed decision before we jump in.
Thanks,

Not me, but it sounds interesting.
There was someone who posted on here about a year ago. She and her husband lived in an RV and worked full time - I think she worked at various campgrounds. She had a very interesting blog - I think is was something like Laura and Sasha's Excellent Adventure. In fact, I need to check out their travels for 2010.

We didn't ;ive in the RV year around but from March 15 th to Day after thanksgiveing. We keep our home because we needed a mailing address. We put the utilities on vacation rate. Friends that went full time Rv'ing would go to where it was warmer in the winter. In most places you can rent lots in moble home parks to park the Rv. It really isn't a bad way to live. My mother loved it. and My husband and I had a good time the 10 years that we did it. Several construction workers do this because Job locations change. If you don't have any school age childern it isn't that bad and it is just like renting a place to live you have to pay lot rent or buy a lot in a town that will allow you to live in the Rv.
