Update on Remnants of Alex
Its Thursday morning & we're still getting pounded by rain. The winds aren't as bad as yesterday & Dh has calls in Harlingen/ Rio Grande City (where its suppose to be worse). It wasn't a big deal(didn't even lose power - knock on wood) & we really needed the rain. I took advantage of the situation & pulled out 4 empty rubbermaid barrels from the garage to catch some rain water off of the house. Those barrels filled up quickly & now I have about 132 gallons of water for my fruit trees & blackberries to use when things start to dry out- for a little while at least. That's 132 gallons less on the water bill

So now, I think that I will just spend the rest of the day catching up on laundry , finish my crochet project & enjoy the rain & my coffee

Glad to hear everything is ok. It sure didn't look good on the news last night.

Glad to hear you are okay! We got VERY little rain on the south side of Houston until about twenty minutes ago. Now it is training over us. We can use the rain as long as it doesn't get to the point of flooding.

We have had fast down pours and the grass is loving it in this drought. It did make mowing hard as it was really shaggy and wet but I just finished the front and did the back yesterday.
We plan on going to the camper at lake Fork for the 4th so I hope we don't get rain then. If the wind gets awhippin dh drags us to the bath house! The math never lies, budget in INK!
