Ever had one of those days? .... Everytime the phone rings someone wants something
It has been one of those mornings.
Every time I hung up the phone it would ring again. Ever time it was someone wanting to know if I would do them a favor or do this or that.
One was Hubby asking if we could do some yard work before the rain came.
A lady asking if I was going to be a part of a study group (maybe lead it)
You get the idea. The list goes on and on...
It even included a stranger from half way across the country asking if I could do a favor for her. Drop off her new number at the neigbhor's house.
Yes it is a strange day.
gave myself a few seconds to cry ( to reduce stress) and jumped in on the chores/requests.
Stopped for lunch and heading right back out.
How much longer until the day is over and I can pull up the covers?"Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

You can't be all things to all people all the time & it's ok to say no. Do something nice for yourself, that's me asking another thing from you but it's a good thing so it's OK.

The day didn't end up bad.
It came with many life lessons so that was good. One of them was that it was good for the children to see me get overwhelmed with tasks/requests but still do them. I think they thought adults never felt that way
Also, Hubby might have been wise in suggesting the outdoor job. The manual labor was good for our bodies and attitudes, plus it really needed to be done before the rain. We also were rewarded with the beauty of what we had done. The sunshine was very good for us to I think. Got to grab that when we can lately.
Yes, it ended up being a good day with work and play.
After all the work, I was able to attend the water play day with Little Miss and we went out for sub sandwiches as a family for dinner and ate in didn't get it to go."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

Hey, can I borrow a dollar?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Caller ID and only answer if you feel like it. If it's important they will leave a message which you can choose to respond to on your time. You own the phone;don't let it own you, is my motto.
