I got out of a speeding ticket today!

It was my lucky day. He clocked me at 71 in a 65. Usually they don't mess with 5 miles over. (and I was slowing down right before I saw him)

I had my step-daughter and my son in the backseat with me on the way to meet my dh. The very friendly hot sheriff dude(no, he was drop dead gorgous, lol) was really nice and I said hi and just smiled and handed him my info.

He runs my stuff/plates and comes back and asks my kids if I should get a ticket today, and they say noooooo. He said okay mom, buy them some ice cream today and I will let you off with a warning and drive safe. I said thank you, thank you so much and have a great day!

I told my kids is was their pretty eyes and smiles that got me off the hook.

Haha, I was on the way to the dealership to meet dh. I told my step-daughter to text her dad and say we will be a little late because I'm getting a speeding ticket at the moment.

Seriously this was a very lucky day on two accounts. It's even the 13th.

Well we ended up going out to a late lunch. Yummy Mexican that we all love. We have ice cream at home.

Yeah that!!! That would be around a hundred dollar ticket.

I got pulled over by a state trooper back in May of 2009. Wesley asked the trooper if he was going to take his mommy to jail. THe trooped was startled and said NO! Wesley says, "Oh well I would if I were you."

Yep. Got the ticket. Also had to explain why my child thought it would be cool to have me arrested. Awesome times.

Oh, my, this reminds me of a story from my childhood. Our family was going to Arcadia, which was probably a two hour drive away from home. It was before there was AC in cars, and it was a hot day. There was some kind of a problem on the freeway, and traffic was at a standstill. Well, my parents had three kids under 7 or 8 in the backseat, dad did not think he could wait, so he started driving down the shoulder. He was pulled over and the highway patrolman came over to talk to him. The three of us saw the cop and started to bawl our heads off - no prompting from mom or dad! - and the cop let him off with a warning, I imagine he thought they were punished enough with the three of us lol !
