    Default Pesticides on food

Someone had posted this under green living, but I thought that others would want to be aware of this - a site that shows all the pesticide residue on the foods we eat - and we feed our children.

It's amazing what our government allows on food in order to preserve it, grow it, or make it taste better.

Also, many people don't realize how pesticides and food additives can affect health. I am living proof of what can happen and why so many people have so many diseases.

I try to give my fruits and veggies with edible skins a vinegar and water bath for at least 10 minutes before I eat them. I know this doesn't help much, but it is better than nothing.

    Thanks for the link.

Crazy,it sure does affect health. When you look at the veggies in the store, you can only wonder what your really eating.Even having your own garden you never know whats in the soil. I heard peaches are the worse for holding on to pestisides. It must be the fuzzyness on them. Has anyone used that so called pestiside spray cleaner for fruits and veggies?

Nana, that's not in my budget. I think I looked at the ingredients one time. I don't exactly remember what was in it but I made the decision right then and there that it wasn't worth the money. I'll check it out again next time I go to the grocers. Anyone else try that stuff?
