    Default So ready for

all this heat to be over. I don't mind summer. But gosh the heat index has been between 100 and 108.The air is running 24/7 .The house temp is still running around 80 .Can't go anywhere.Even the clothes when you hang them on the line they still seem damp because of the humidity at 100%.Suppose to get storms today and tonight. Be really glad when fall arrives.

These past couple of days all I can think of is that my air conditioning has been running non stop. The dollars are just spinning around in my head.

I will be glad when this hot weather breaks.

Me too! We only have one window a/c unit and it's not working for the bedroom. Most nights I just lay awake sweltering! And work is just miserable. I work in a small office with no ac. I offered to buy a small unit myself but the boss said no, we couldn't have it. He comes in to work and works until 10am when it starts getting hot, then goes home and sits in his house in the ac. Most of the time by quitting time I am almost sick. And cleaning the bathrooms is horrible! Small closed up spaces and if someone has been showering it's even worse!

I, for one, will be glad to see winter!

Luckily this weather only lasts two months or so... but please! No more rain! The weeds in the garden are knee high and I am in danger of loosing my chard, peppers and carrots! I'm throwing out as many tomatoes as I keep, due to rot from all the water. We've had so many storms blow through my plants can't flower!

We have had alot of rain here. I was gone for 7 weeks so hubby had to deal with it. But it's storming today and a chance of heavy rain tonight.

I hear you. It will probably be 100 here on Thursday and Friday with high humidity. I am so ready for fall!

We're running two dehumidifiers in addition to central AC.

Here in Phoenix AZ we've been between 110 and 115 consistently for over two weeks. We're in what we call 'monsoon' season - the humidity pushes 60% every day and it is miserable.

My AC, at home, is running more but not constant. I keep it at 89 degrees. I've adapted to the heat here after 20+ years but I notice that it wears on me quicker than it used to. I used to work outside in the heat full time.

I have a discount on electricity used between 9pm and 9am. So I turn down the AC and run the oven, DW and laundry between those hours.

Fans help tremendously - There on in every room that I go into. Am working an inside inspection job now. The temp is kept at a constant 70 degrees. I actually have to leave my office and walk around outside in the sun to thaw out. Ha!

We did get a brief respite last nite with a torrential rain at 1am. I woke up to thunder and rain pounding. It was cooler this am.

The heat and humidity have finally hit us - these days continue through September - not complaining, just saying.

It has been way hotter than normal here. Usually June and August are tolerable because it cools down at night, but this year June was much hotter than normal. I have run my AC more days so far this year than I did all last year. Also this year we have gone to bi-monthly hydro bill. I am dreading getting the one for June and July. I am expecting it to be at least $600
