Feeling "Snack-y"
Ever get a craving for a snack, but don't know exactly what you yearn for? That's me right now at this moment. Supper was 3 hours ago, and bedtime is within an hour. I still feel slightly empty. What to do?
I could go salty, with some pretzels. I could go sweet with some brownies. I could go meaty with some bacon or cheese. I could go veggie with some zuchinni sticks.
Honestly, I'm not sure what I want. Probably a glass of water is my best choice...........
So, do you ever get the vague snackies? Any tips or ideas on how to handle it?Spiritual:

Debt free, hoping to stay that way!

i love to grab a handful of dry cereal when i have the slight munchies before bed- gets the hungries to go away without too many calories or being too heavy.
i love to snack on dry rice chex or corn chex too - not mixed with other stuff just them alone .*~Debbi~*

For me my usual snack is nuts. MMM raw walnuts or cocoa almonds!
If I'm kind of hungry before bed it is pretty much a given I will wake up in the middle of the night shaky and ravenous so I say have that snack.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

Just had my snack after my pool time - it was a toss up between popcorn or a small bowl of low sugar ice cream - i went for the ice cream and feel satisfied. Like the idea of having a handful of cereal - think I'll check that out next time I'm in the grocery store. Mahalo!!

I like to have a snack of cereal also. Without the milk of course. Most of the time I eat cereal without milk anyhow. Honeycomb, cheerios or something kinda plain.

If its before bed - I try to have a carb with a fibre (fruit) sometimes with cheese. I also drink something first - water, iced tea, hot tea...just something in case it turns out that I'm just thirsty.

I put WTG, because this is such a good question.
Try a glass of water first. Then decide 'sweet' or 'savory.'
Crackers-and-cheese is usually my choice. DH would pick cookies. Unfortunately, last night, we had BOTH!2012 Knitting in progress

Yep...I get that snacky feeling alot, especially in the summertime when I'm hungry enough to eat a meal but want *something*.
I'm a 'salty' person instead of a 'sweet' person and one of my go-to snacks is p.butter on saltine crackers...and the protein makes me feel full too, so that's a bonus.

Cereal, sometimes dry and alot of times with milk. Cheerios, Chex
popcorn, yes with butter and cheeseBank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I had mine tonight with peanutbutter ice cream. However, I'm trying to clean out my insides and this did me no good.
This is my second week of a mild cleanse and I don't have any carb cravings. It is said this would happen if I got rid of the bad stuff in my belly. Now that I just fed the bad stuff with sugar, I should be craving carbs tomorrow. (kicking my own butt!)Projects in Progress: quilt, bathroom rugs, knitting dishcloths
