Rubbing alcohol sounds like a good start. Different brand pens have different ink formulations, so you may have to try a couple things.
Use it up, Wear it out,
Make it do, Or do without. ~unknown

acetone (nail polish remover)
turpentine (paint thinner)
bottle of vodka or everclear (ethanol)
make sure the pilot light is turned off before you create flammable atmosphere inside the drum.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

i would make dh clean it out - then i know he wont do it again LOL !!

i would avoid turpentine as a very last attempt.
hairspray can get ink off of handbags etc so try that
make sure its cool inside first !!!*~Debbi~*

Sorry I don't have an answer to your problem but was wondering if Dh is still alive & kickin'... I know he's in the dog house for sure. We all make mistakes & I hope he doesn't do this again.
Sorry for the mess.

I would spread it out on top the washer and SOAK it with Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Use a whole bottle if you have to....lots cheaper than a new shirt. Kepping dabbing and rubbing until all the ink is out.
I used to do this a lot when I'd take my nursing uniform off late at night and forget to take the pen out of my pocket. Alcohol worked wonders.
Afterward--rinse thoroughly, wash as normal through all cycles, and THEN dry it in the dryer or hang up.______

I've always used hairspray to remove ink stains from fabric. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work equally well on a hard surface.
