If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Yep I get like that too. My friend Bruce at work has told me to go eat a few times because I was getting tempermental. Illness, urinary tract issues, hormones, dietary changes, climate, stress, lots of things can cause mood swings. They told me for years I was bipolar until I started to see a pattern of my moods swining around a certain time of the month more so than normal. I am also hypoglycemic and I notice I get real nasty when I am having an episode. Russ, I am not sure what is causing your mood swings but you can always vent when you need to. It feels good to let it all out and know you aren't the only one getting mad at silly things. You would laugh at the things that tick me off.
I think mine is due to the stress of being a single mom with annoying ex inlaws, loneliness, work stress, financial stress, and just plain tired of everything I deal with every day. Maybe you need a vacation by yourself for a few days. I know I would love one!

I had to do some counseling as a prerequisite for certain aspects of my job recently, and this was something the counselor touched on. She said that anger is a coping mechanism, generally preceded by feelings of sadness.
In you case, it could be sadness over not finishing your projects and looking like a failure. It could be sadness over not being able to provide as well as you think you should be. Take a look at whatever else is going on.
She said recognizing what is making me sad or frustrated, and then remedying those things, will be very helpful in avoiding any anger situations. No one is perfect. Failures happen. Deadlines are missed. These things are fine, as long as you can accept them, learn from them, and then move on with more knowledge than you had before.
Start somewhere, and once you tackle an issue, move on to something else. Good luck.

Hi Russ.
I fogot to mention that I have a food sensitivity to nightshades. Anyway yesterday I ate some dip that contained small flecks of pepper. Didn't realize it until it was to late. Today at the mall I wigged out on a snotty little sales attendant. Then I remembered why I was getting all hot and bothered and was able to simmer down.
One thing I notice is that when I do start getting upset about something I tend to be more upset at myself for being like that. It is a vicious cycle. All the more reason to stay away from nightshades for me.
Also, I find laughing really helps to switch my mood. You know having a really good belly laugh.
Hope things are getting better.

Update
Since I started this thread I have made an effort to recognize when I'm getting frustrated (not angry) and make some observations, then corrections.
The heat makes me get angry quicker. Could that be due to dehydration? So I try to drink more water.
Many mentioned diet. What I've noticed is when I'm hungry I do not tend to eat right away. example: If it's 11 am, I will make myself wait until Noon to eat. So instead I try to eat something around 10am to carry me through.
Now there were a couple of times were I got ticked off but nothing jumped out as a possible reason. I suppose that will happen.
trying to stay calm, one moment at a time.Russ
