Wasn't sure where to put this....

BF and I haven't had a TV since the first year we lived in our first apartment.....that was 4 years ago! We've used his 22" monitor to watch movies/shows since the old TV bit the dust.

Well on Friday morning I got an email from a computer store, COMP-USA (Tigerdirect.) They were having a 2 day sale (Fri./Sat.), with different deals on each day. One of them was a 40" LCD 1080p TV for $399. AWESOME price since they were going for $449 on Black Friday. So I casually mentioned it to BF at dinner Friday night, and he thought I had the price wrong. He was sure it had to be $499. When we got home I showed him the email. The next morning, the store opened at 9 AM and I called to see how many they had. Eleven. Could they hold one for an hour? Nope. You won't believe how fast BF drug me out the door. I can't get the guy out of the house on a Saturday at 9 AM for ANYTHING. So we got there and it looked like we got one of the last 2. He is so excited about this thing lol.

The best part is he used extra cash he had been holding onto from a couple of computer jobs he's done on the side for our old company back home. So the TV is paid for. It has a 12 month warranty on it and I put it on a credit card (will pay it off next month) that gives us an additional 12 months on the warranty.

I think know he's more excited about it than I am. But he works on computers/servers/electronics for a living so I understand it I guess LOL. Sure it's a little excessive. Sure we could have gotten a cheaper/smaller/used TV. BUT, he's been working his A$$ off since we've moved down here at his new job as well as doing computer repairs for family/friends and still working for our old company maintaining the server/accounting system/etc. So, I guess I just felt like he deserved it
