Do You Feel Like A Part Of The Forum Yet?
What I mean by that is do you feel most people around the forums who use it on a daily/weekly basis recognize your username, Avatar posts and have generally have a personality pegged to your online identity? If you don't feel this way, are you bothered by this? Or do you generally not have any interest/care about people giving your posts more thought/attention than just a first time poster/unknown poster?
For me I feel I've been here for a while and built up a large enough post count full of unforgettable humour and amazing advice (ok I'm stretching that part quite a lot
), and I feel I've gotten to know quite a few individuals on here where I'd be a lil sad when/if (I'll probably be posting here for another 50 years) I stop posting. I guess you can call me sad, but I enjoy having an online identity in this forum, and I also appreciate the characters and great people who make this site work.

I've been in FV for a while, but it took time to have people recognize me (I think.....). I decided to just be who I am: educated, Christian, sensible, frugal, ordinary. I hope this is what comes across. I believe that at this time folks who recognize my handle also expect a certain level of writing from me. I could be wrong.......... Hey, FV: let me know!!

I think that the more you post, the easier it is for others to know you and your personality. I've found it very enjoyable meeting and getting to know others here and really appreciate the sharing of ideas, support and advice.

I have been here for a while really don't know anyone. I feel if I don't post for a few days. Which happens every so often. People don't notice that I am gone.

I've honestly never thought about it until I read this. Hummm what an interesting question! I've been around here a long time so I'm sure there are people that recognize my username and can picture a personality that goes with it. I'm sure others do not at all as I tend to post a lot for a while and then take a break.
FORhisglory you come across just like you said.
Happymomof4 I don't feel or expect anyone to know I'm gone either. Thats all good though because everyone knows how busy life gets
Nana I've shared things I haven't told family either.
I do think the more you post the more people feel they get to know you so post away!!!

I frequently feel like nobody here recognizes me...
... wait that's not right.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

btw - the original poster is a spammer - the username appears on dozens of internet forums and the same exact post appears on many of them.
the op has been banned - but I thought the TOPIC itself was actually interesting enough to keep, even if it was spammer that posted it.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

I used to post more personal information here. . . but after a lot of negative comments, I try to keep my posts pretty generic. . . some things slip through however. . .
Do people recognize me here? I don't know. . it's not something that keeps me awake at night

You're right, they don't.
But if you go to google and enter in that user name, you'll get hundreds of forums back. If you go through a few of those forums, you'll find that this same user has posted the same EXACT post on quite a few of them.
Couple that with the link in her signature and you've got a spammer masquerading as a real user.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

How I meant it was that this person said they had been around the forum for awhile, long enough to have a personality. I was saying that 7 posts (at least here) does not shed a lot of light on who you are. Sorry if it came out the other way.
Greebo you are always on top of your game no doubt about that!!
