Default I am easily pleased because..........

I am trying not to buy stuff that will just clog up my house and my life and so if I buy stuff it has to have a purpose.

This weekend I have just treated my self to a big posh bar of the most wonderful soap, it's huge and smells devine

Paint me pink and call me Patsy but I just can't stop sniffing it!! I am frustrated because the bar I started just a week ago is nowhere near finished and I can't justify starting another one yet, but I can't wait to smell of this lovely soap~ it's Italian and smells like a posh cologne if you are wondering

Are YOU easily pleased? what (seemingly) little things cheer YOU up/make you happy?

I really love journals and Pretty paper. I get it at the dollar store or walmart. Nowhere expensive but I love a new journal. I use them for lists (compulsive list maker here) and my recipes. I also love bookmarks and try to wait until the book fair at the kids school and get them there for .50 each. I get a few dollars worth and enjoy them all year long. I also like milk and honey bubble bath from Walmart in a gallon container for about 3.00 . I always ask for it for Christmas.

I love a nice bar of Yardley Lavender Soap! I can find it at the dollar stores here in Md.

And I love the pleasure of lighting a Yankee Candle. There is something so comforting about a candle burning and having a lovely homey fragrance gives a soothing touch to my afternoons.

~I like my wonderful smelling lotions. Definately worth the little extra money.
Watching my kids play creatively makes me happy.
I also get a huge kick out of fresh, warm yeast breads.
And just 5 minutes outside looking up into the sky and listening to the wind in the trees is enough to make me very pleased. ~

I'm with you on the tea Val. I love a teapot full of English breakfast tea with cream and Splenda. If I'm ignoring healthy eating Throw in a cranberry scone with Devonshire cream or maybe some lemon curd, and I'm in heaven.

I also am total push over for Origins Ginger fragrance line. One spritz and I feel beautiful, throw in the indulgence of the entire fragrance line and I'm a goddess. If only in my own mind *giggles*

I love having ice cream in coffee, reading a magazine no matter how old it is, splurging and eating out.

I keep my 'future soaps' in my undies' drawer; everytime I take out an item, I get a whiff of the wonderful fragrance!

I splurge on candles, too. LOVE LOVE LOVE Yankee Candle! I wait for their sales online, then use all the coupons I can find and stock up! I am going to be trying scentsy candle chunks soon, and I am so giddy I can hardly stand it!

Thanks for the great thread English Lady! I absolutely love Crabtree and Evelyn's Summer Hill hand creme! I'm with you on the fancy bars of soap. Last year, I went to Maui and bought these lovely handmade soaps in wonderful tropical scents. I still have several of them left and enjoy them every day!

I get a small roll, slice it thin, and top it with ANCHOVIES!

    To me, it's delicious.

I am also a fancy soap fiend, EL! Every so often I treat myself, esp. if I'm feeling like I need to lady-up a bit. Living with DH (and for years---two sons also) sometimes makes feel like 'one of the guys'. I need to remind myself that I was once a girl.

I like LUSH's Alkmaar soap, Crabtree and Evelyn's Summer Hill soap (only in summer tho, LOL), one that Target carries that's BIG and smells divine (can't think of the name, but it is Wisteria scented), and any coconut soap.

I also like (for splurges or feeling luxurious) Celestial Seasonings Decaf Chai w/a couple of splendas in it---no guilt. I am such a big baby about spiced tea.

Hmmm. Can't use most fancy soaps/lotions, I'm scent sensitive. However, that said, there's a huge bar of lemon soap that I can find every now and then at Marshall's, and I buy that, it lasts me a couple of years.

But the scent that makes me happiest usually is the smell of good food cooking, esp. breads and esp. on a day like today, rainy and dreary!

I'm definitely cheered by a "bargain" book that I've taken lots of time selecting. Spending an hour finding the perfect book(s) is almost as wonderful as reading it. Oh & I DID mention the BARGAIN part, right? I'm thrilled to spend as little as possible... lastest find $3.97!
I also LOVE Yankee Candle votives & couldn't be happier when I get them on sale for $1! OH, Pier 1 has some nice scents for what 95 CENTS! I enjoy them almost as much as YC.

Thanks, Englishlady! Makes me happy just think about those little pleasures.
