    Default did your parents?

give you everything they didn't have when they were little. I know mine did, we had every toy going. it was really sad. I did learn finally that my children don't need everything that they want.

No, not neccisarily (sp), we got the "big" item we usually asked for, within reason. But not always. My parents had 7 children between them, and growing up, my dad only brought home $50 a week. So it was pretty hard on my mom to do Christmas, but somehow she always did!

    My parents were successful professionals.

I was taught some frugality but had all my needs and many of my wants met.

Both my parents came from desperate childhoods, so they didn't want me dealing with the 'uglies' of life.

No, my parents were divorced when I was 6 and there simply wasn't much money.

No, my parents made "ok" money I reckon, but they didn't give me everything I wanted although I had plenty.

No, they were tight with money and didn't believe in spoiling us kids.
