I have finally had the time to post pictures of our stay-cation It has been quite a busy month.lol
With a little imagination and careful planning, we didn't have to break the bank to have some fun We took the children to a barnyard animal rescue farm. There is a lady that takes in any unwanted/ neglected farm animal and cares for them. I wanted the kids to experience being around farm animals...(something that I enjoyed growing up on a hobby farm). The kids helped to feed the animals & played with them. I gave a donation of $30 to help with the Vet/feed costs.
The Texas State Aquarium is an awesome place...we made reservations as a Homeschool group & saved $104 I was astonished that we paid $70 for all 12 of us -wow. We saw dolphins, various birds & other incredible sea lfe. The children were able to pet some stingrays...the expressions on their faces as they touched the rays was absolutely priceless
Living on the gulf,we went to the beach for free and had fun making sand castles. Meagan wanted to bury her little brother Samuel soooo bad...but the little stinker wouldn't let her catch him.lol
Board games and movies every night was a blast too. Dd Lindsey(8) is an excellent strategist when it comes to games...she beat her dad playing Founding Fathers (American History based game).
