Dunkin Donuts tried to rip me off lol
Anyone out there drink regular coffee at Dunkin Donuts? If so pay attention.... At my local DD the signs are incorrect and people are getting ripped off. The Hot Coffee sign says
small-8oz
medium-16oz
large-24oz
x-large-32oz
I went in last night with my BF and ordered a medium coolatta, 6 donuts and an x-large black coffee (some for last night and save the rest for today). We sat inside to eat a donut and i realized my cup said it was 24oz. I went back to the cashier to tell him he gave me the wrong size and he said "the signage is wrong". So I asked if they just didn't get the 32oz cups in and he said (and I quote) "there aren't any 32oz cups, the real sizes are small - 10oz, medium - 14oz, large - 20oz and x-large - 24oz". He also said "most people dont realize the sign is wrong". He said he'd give me the difference to make up for the coffee i didn't get. He gave me a 10oz cup and he didn't look pleased at all for having to do it. When I got home I wrote the customer service an email. I don't know if it will help or anything but I wrote it anyhow. So this is a warning to anyone else who drinks DD coffee. Make sure you read your signs if they post the ounces next to the size.Chele

I actually noticed as soon as I got the cup before I read the bottom that said the ounces. I thought to myself "this cup seems little for 32oz". I shrugged it off at first because I've never seen a coffee cup that size before, I've only seen soda cups that big. I'm glad i'm so anal and I paid attention. lol

I noticed the size change. When i lived in the city i would get coffee everyday before work, This was 5 years ago.I went back just a few months ago and ordered a large coffee and wow it was alot smaller then before. The guy always knew how i wanted it made so he would have it ready when pulled up.I commented on the side and said i wanted a large, this looks like a medium, he said different cup sizes and cost more.. I have not been back since.

I'm still shaking my head over his quote of 'most people don't notice the sign is wrong' - isn't that fraud?

Let us know if you get a response to the e-mail. I'm with MM. That's deceptive and they seem totally indifferent to it. Are there any other channels to report it to? Maybe a call to the tv station? In the greater scale of things it might not amount to much, but it is definitely a bad business practice.

Go to www.planetfeedback.com. Make a complaint. Will depend on whether it is corporate owned or private. Worth a shot.
I love Dunkin Donuts. I'll have to look the next time I stop for coffee. Didn't even know the size was on the bottom of the cup.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
