I thought he was still camped out in my spare room! I am bleeding money! Thankfully my online sales have pretty well kept up and I haven't had to use any of our EF yet.

NOW I need to go to the post office and complain that I am not receiving all my mail! Had to pay a late fee on the electricity bill a couple of months ago because I never received it, noticed that I didn't get my sales flyers last Wednesday, and figured out today that I haven't received the water bill and it was due 5 days ago. So there is a $7 late fee!

Two of the three dogs had to go to the vet in the last couple of weeks because of illnesses/problems. Hubby had to replace BOTH tires on his Harley. We got good deals on both of them though! The dealership didn't have the bike ready as promised, so they dropped the installation fee.

My truck needs to go back to the shop. Since I can live without it, it is sitting in the driveway until we come up with some spare cash.

There is more, but that is enough for now. My fingers are getting tired of typing.

I won 2nd place! Made it to the top 4 finalists for the ultimate biker makeover!

    Last year:
    1. new locks twice for a stalker problem who can get past Quickset locks - $200
    2. computer crashed twice requiring a new hard drive. I had to finally replace it. - $900
    3. digital camera died after five years of faithful service. It's replacement died after 15 days (14 day return policy). It appears to be a tampering issue. ($200 for new camera)
    4. Car repairs/maintenance of $2k.
    5. New fence for $1200 as neighbor's was getting ready to fall over. Neighbor would not pitch in on costs to keep his vicious dogs out of my yard. Long story...
    6. Had $500 in small electronics in the house quit. It appears to be tampering related.
    7. Furnace quit - $65 to fix.
    8. Plumbing issues - $1k.
    9. Water heater quit - fixed by a contractor friend for $400.
    10. More termite problems. I'm under contact so my $75 annual maitenance fee helped out.
    11. Sick dog -- $800

    This year:
    1. Water pump quit at 6 months of age on car - still had to pay for labor. $500
    2. 2 New tires + misc. maintenance -- $500
    3. Turn signal arm broke off. -- $500
    4. New car battery -- $100
    4. Tree cut down in yard as it endangered the house and carport during storms - $1100

It's just been one thing after another. I've been getting by on SSDI and didn't find a part-time job until May 2010 after 16 months of unemployment. I had to take out a third mortgage on the house just to get the bills down to a payable level as the credit card interest was killing me.

You have lent a whole new meaning to Murphy....I think we've found his breeding ground.

    Wow...You definitely need a hug.

I think that it's safe to say that MURPHY is breeding and doing it quickly and on a wordwide scale.
We have to take care of this guy the same way we do with any other bug - KILL IT or outsmart it.

I got the message after I had to call out our repair guy TWICE in one week (last week).
First for the washer and second for the dryer (this was when we were getting everything ready for dd to go to London for 6 months).

One thing that I have noticed murphy nevers calls when everything is done - that is, the washing and ironing is all neatly folded in the cupboards, it's when you have a mountain lying to get done that he appears.

On top of this I fell twice (I never fall down).
Once (no laughing please) when I slipped on a banana peel and just about crippled myself - this was just before the send-off party for dd - 3 hours later the house would be full. And secondly just when I wanted to put some things in dd's suitcase. I tripped over the darn thing and fell again on my knee.

When I had to call the repair guy, he warned me - these things all come in three's (translation - Murphy is about).

I knew that I had been warned.
I now look around corners before I turn them, I carefully clean out all machines after using them. I walk carefully everywhere I go.
I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM TO MURPHY!
I WILL NOT BE A VICTIM TO MURPHY!
    This is my new motto.

Good luck everyone - we can beat this guy if we stay strong!!!
