LOOKING to? Not me.
Likely to? Possibly.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

we are about an hour and a half from the Outer Banks. we will probably get nothing more than a little wind gust and maybe some much needed rain. local reports are saying Cape Hatteras could get as much as 10" of rain
praying Earl comes and goes quickly with minimal damage

As of now we are in the middle of its projected track, but it could still swerve to either side of us or die out before it gets here.

I'm about 40 minutes away from the coast....looks like it's gonna turn so we'll probably only get the winds from the western side of it. If not, we'll pack up and leave...

We have a tropical storm warning here. I'm on the coast but not in the direct path.

We're expecting it to hit here (Nova Scotia) early Saturday morning. DH is so upset -- we were supposed to go down to my home community and I was supposed to show him where I grew up, and take LG with us. I've been singing "Goodbye Earl" all day, hoping it might make a bit of difference. *fingers crossed*

Well, there are voluntary evacuations for our county, but I don't think we're going to get anything here. It's dark-looking outside and the leaves are blowing, but this is nothing. I think the storm is going to turn too far to the northeast to get us.

I'm not sure how we will be affected... I am not on a coastal town, but we were in the medium risk area.
According to the latest maps, it won't be directly over us. Just in case - I have 2 bottles of water, cans of soup and a water-only pancake mix.
Diva has school Friday so I will be keeping an eye on the weather. Her school is in the next town over and I don't want to be caught off guard if Earl decides to come early. The last place I want to be is en-route to the school and dodging tree limbs.
(I also don't want her at the school without me, she is freaked out enough and I keep telling her that we will be fine, but this is her first hurricane and thinking it's a tornado because she is afraid a house will fall on me on the way to get her
)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

i am in south NJ - maybe 30 - 40 min from atlantic city so if they get hit we get hit with storms and wind etc maybe some flooding of some of the local roads .
i really am not preparing too much - we have tarps to put alone one side of the hose if it starts to flood the yard street to pevent the basement from leaking - we always have a well stocked pantry - and dh always has a case or 2 of bottled water in his car .
i am off this weekend so no worries of traveling to see patients.*~Debbi~*
