    Default Vintage trailer update....

I bought my trailer last night :-) She's a plain Jane - Kit Companion, manufactured locally. '67 in really nice condition, with NO water leaks or damage. The skin is good and everything works. This is the ONLY one we have looked at that doesn't have some sort of issues. I figured she was a good starter trailer for me to get my feet wet....and she was in my price range. (cash talks!!) We've done all the paperwork, and we'll pick her up today ;-) Pictures when I get her home.

I need to pick a name for her.....

Very exciting! I can;t wait for the pics either!! Maybe since you said she's plain JAne....maybe Jane would be a great name for her.

Here's a photo from the ad. Found out you can get 1/8" diamond plate...so that's what we're thinking for the bottom panel and front rock shield.

I've been scrubbing since we brought her home at noon. Took out the old curtains, took down the rusted icky rods. Took out all the little nails and hooks and scraped off plastic hooks. Dh put WD 40 on all the louvered windows and they work like a dream! I need to do a lot of nail filling and patching on some chipped drawers. It's blond wood, in decent shape....but I'm going to paint her (gasp!) It's not birch or anything beautiful....and I like a clean easy care interior. All the lights work, except one wall light that we're going to replace due to ugliness (not original). I got a ton of paint samples today and dh got some stabalizers (yes...he's worried about my stability :-)
It's pretty warm here, so I'm quitting for the night. It's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better :-)
