Sorry, thought that you meant if they were to do their own washing, etc. The older ones help w/ the folding/putting away when they are not at work

I will join this club~ this weekend I did mountains of laundry. At one point I had fresh clean sheets on the bed and a nice clean comforter...bed all made and lookin good. So what happens? My 20 month old decides to basically have a blowout, smear poop all over the bed. Back to square one....had to rewash. Sometimes I feel like a hamster in a wheel.

    UGH! Laundry. A necessary evil.

We started putting all the laundry in separate baskets in the garage. No more, my laundry, their laundry. If it's not in there, it won't get washed until the basket is full again. I just did a load of towels because the basket was full. Funny the cabinet was almost empty of clean towels. My system may be working!

We also bring the clean baskets out in the living room to fold while we watch TV.

Slow progress, but I'm not doing it alone anymore!

If I had my own washer and dryer, I actually wouldn't mind doing laundry at all...I love the smell of the laundry fresh out of the dryer..and it gives a clean smell to the area surrounding it...but I unfortunately live in an apartment without my own washer dryer...So I have to haul all the clothing to the laundromat, once a week. SO now I HATE doing laundry! I have to lug all the heavy clothing down a flight of stairs, down the full length of a building, shove it into my car...drive a couple miles to the laundromat...lug it all back out of the car...hope and pray the large washers are available..put all the clothing in the washers...sit, and wait...for them all to wash...take them all out, seperate them into dryers and wait, and wait and wait some more for them to dry...then fold all the laundry and put it all back into baskets and bags to start the journey home(2.5 hour total process)...I get tired just thinking about it......But when I had my own washer and dryer...I loved doing laundry..I did about 2 loads a day..nothing was ever dirty or built up!
