We've already received our shots, kids will get second round later this month. CDC has had a few confirmed cases here in Iowa according to a friend who is a CMA at a local clinic. We figured we would be proactive.

i can get them free thru work but i never have i am worried it will set something off with my immune system and with my fibro and bump me back to where i cant work again
my kids have never had a flu shot either .
it use to be they were only for people who were elderly or were medically fragile regardless of age ( asthma heart issues etc ) or those who worked in high exposure fields-
now suddenly the past 2 years they want everyone to have them -and scare the heck out of people - just my personal opinion but i think its pharmeceutical companies making a ton of money .
( now that i have said that after 47 years and 5 kids ( 22 down to 9 ) one will get the flu LOL
although alot of people do not understand that a virus is not the flu regular
- people use the words interchangably and drs havent stopped it lately as it seems they have tired of explaining it - I cannot tell you the # of times i have bit my tongue in line at a store when i hear people complain they had the flu shot and still got the stomach " flu " . AHHHHHHHHH LOL!!
my dh does get the shot though he has a history of asthma.*~Debbi~*

I got my flu shot last week at school (college). It was only $15. Definitely not waiting! It's not like it wears off and I'd much rather have the protection sooner rather than later!
Dh is going to wait until early October as his office will be giving them for free.

We don't get flu shots here. They weaken the immune system too much and we are much healthier without them. We will increase our vitamin B, C, D, zinc and garlic.

We don't get flu shots but don't have any insurance anyway. None of us got sick last yr. We take vit suppliments like vit C & D for the flu.

Hubby gets them for free at work. I have never gotten a flu shot and I have never had the flu and I am 55 years old. I am healthy, work from home, and my exposure to others is limited.
