Exciting and Nervous at the same time!
Hey All!
Well for those of you who don't know (or don't remember) my story, a little catch up. About 2.5 years ago I was in a bad car accident, had surgery and a long recovery (I'm still in a little pain). I took time off to heal and found a new career option for me. I did the pre-reqs (and did very well, I'm so humble!) and applied to 3 schools. #1 was my safety, #2 was my back up, but I really wanted to go to #3 OIT in Oregon. I GOT INTO ALL 3!!!!!! I'm Officially a Hootie! (Owl).
Which means in 3 years (and one awful test) later I'll be a RAD TECH! Radiology Technologist, X-rays baby, yeah!
I'm moving a week from today and renting a little room from a couple who are renting rooms out to OIT student. I <3 this couple, I think they are going to be another set of parents, I couldn't be happier as it is near the school and a VERY good price.
However, I'm trying to think of everything I need to bring and pack. I'm afraid I'll forget something! XD It shouldn't worry too much as I'm coming home the weekend following and I can pick up anything I've forgotten then.
It has been a long long long road, but I've hit a huge milestone and I'm so excited! Don't worry my dears, I plan to play the roll of the studious but frugal college student. (Mostly because I won't have time to buy anything!
).
Much love to everyone who has posted on my pain posts and other rantings, you guys are the best!

I would take anything you think would be useful if you were living in a dorm room.
Will they let you have a microwave in your room or a small refrigerator. Will they let you use a cabinet in the kitchen so you can store some food you like? Take an iron, small shelf for books, do you need a desk, maybe a cup, plate, silverware, food containers, containers for storage since you will probably want a small stockpile, etc.
It all sounds really exciting though. Congratulations.

Thank you shoiji, you have great ideas! However the house I'm moving into is AWESOME! The converted the basement to a living space and the couple lives down there. The upstairs has a living room, TV room and a HUGE kitchen (so AWESOME) and 3 rooms they are renting out. Two other OIT students are renting too. I"m so excited, one of them is a Radiology student and I'll have someone to study with!
I'm totally behind on packing because I strained by back earlier this week and I've been resting it. However I'm coming home next weekend so if I forget something I'll be cool, as long as I have clothes and my computer I'll be set!
THANK YOU for all your good wishes! I"ll post pictures and updates.
