    Default Lakeside Collection

I stumbled across their online catalog and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their products? Their prices seem very reasonable and that makes me wonder about the quality of their products. I found a few items that I would give as gifts as they match the themed kitchen of a friend but I don't want to give her textiles (hand towels, apron, etc) that are thin and look too cheap.

    Any one?

I have ordered things from this catalog several times and I have been very pleased with the quality of the products and the prices are excellent. I buy things mostly as gifts from there especially for teachers and the kids LOVE it when the Christmas catalog comes. I got a really cute tote bag for my oldest daughter to carry at school last year for an excellent price and it is being carried this year by my younger one . Its still in great shape and I know it was way under 10.00.

I just received my order from Lakeside! If you know what LTD Commodities is ( Gifts, Home Decor, Home furnishings, Toys, Garden decor, Housewares | LTD Commodities - LTD Commodities) it is the same stuff and same company. There is another name they go by: ABC Distributing.

The prices are pretty cheap, but beware of shipping. They used to take forever to come but now have speeded up. Last year I bought alot of filler Christmas gifts from them and was very pleased. Usually it is something different than in the stores.

A tip: if you belong to Mypoints and order from Lakeland over a certain amount, this month you get 500 points. This is the reason I did it. I then cash in the points for gift cards for Christmas, or just use them to finish up my Christmas shopping.

All in all, I've been happy with Lakeland/LTD.

Thanks for the info. This is exactly how I found it and my goal. . It would be nice to get a few gifts out of the way as well as some "freebie" gift cards to hand out.

Didn't they also buy out Collections, Inc.?

I rec'd a catalog too and figure they got my name from Collections, Inc.

Haven't ordered from them, so no help there. Have ordered from Collections and wasn't always pleased with quality.

Just checked and name hasn't changed if they were bought out.....

I have been ordering from Lakeside for years. The quality is very good. You have to order early I have found that they run out of things quickly. Especially from the Christmas catlog.

Never ordered from Collections but get there catlogs all the time.

Yeah they are part of ABC company, and for some reason they would let me order, and then bill me later....$1000 later, I realized I have a problem. Never ordering from those places again because apparently I can't control myself

    But, I love their stuff!

My ds has ordered from them (Ltd) several times. They used to not tell you shipping until you rec'd your stuff. They have changed that (must've been too many complaints). Make sure you read the size of the items to make sure they are as big as they appear in the picture. Son's gf ordered a thing to hold toys and it was much smaller than expected. She also ordered a shoe holder that held several pairs of shoes (I almost orderered it to) and it was made out of corrugated cardboard. I would just suggest to read all the details of the item so you aren't disappointed.

So I finally got my order in. LOL. I purchased a Holiday gift for my 6 yr old nephew, some containers to give edible treats in for the handbell choir, some coconut mats to lay over the ice (my Mom has some and they really help her out) and the glow in the dark spooky eyes for Halloween.

    I'm happy.

Question regarding the MyPoints: This is the first time I've shopped through MyPoints, when does it get applied to the total? There was nothing in my ordering or confirmation that I would receive the 500 points. I'm going to assume it is automatic but would hate to feel cheated out of the points since they will help me get two $25 gift cards for my niece and older nephew.

~As long as you went to MyPoints first and clicked through their site you will get the points automatically within the next 3 weeks or so.~

Sweet, thanks for the information Nuisance. I'll most likely take advantage of it again this season.
