I need to stop leaving this place.
It really seems like every time I neglect this forum I get way back into debt. This time around is no exception. I've been so busy with writing, keeping up with multiple blogs, running my 4 year old to and from preschool, co-ed softball with my husband, and just general family stuff that I have not been really paying attention to our money.
And it finally caught up with me. We were doing so well before, but we're struggling again, unfortunately. I guess it goes to say something for you guys. You do a great job of keeping me accountable, and when I'm not around I guess I don't think I have anything to account for.
I know I've missed a lot, but I'm looking forward to jumping in, joining some challenges and getting back on track!

I'm not trying to give you an excuse (you obviously aren't looking for one), but this is a VERY easy trap to fall into.I've been so busy with writing, keeping up with multiple blogs, running my 4 year old to and from preschool, co-ed softball with my husband, and just general family stuff that I have not been really paying attention to our money.
It's a part-time job just managing one household's finances. When I get crazy-busy, one of the first things I let slide is the bookkeeping. And it's not exactly a thrilling job to begin with.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes!
Yeah, it's definitely easy to fall into and I've done it more than once. Even though I know I shouldn't be getting take-out for dinner a few times a week when I'm too busy to cook, I do it anyway. I'm trying to work on better planning so that I can throw dinner in the crock pot ahead of time when I know I'm going to be short on time in the evening. So far I've been doing better!
