What a start to the week!
I can already tell this week is going to suck.
We spent the weekend prepping the house for sale, which was going to happen today. Well, that's out the window.
Not only did the roofers just show up to do the entire roof (which I had been expecting a couple of weeks ago), but we spent the entire night staging the house. We had to buy everything yesterday and didn't get home until 4pm. Then from 4pm until about 15 minutes ago, we were working on the house. Yep... no sleep!
So DH let me crash for about 3 and a half hours while he finished wiring the outlets and such, while he didn't sleep at all. It's Monday morning and not all of the outlets got done, we're one double switch plate short of completion, the curtains haven't been hung in the living room, the hat rack hasn't been hung in the closet area and the basement's still a wreck!
I had to call today and delay the staging and picture taking for tomorrow, which our realtor was more than happy to do. I'm also sick! I got a cold yesterday, so I'm dealing with that the best I can.
Did Murphy just show up and drop kick me?Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

With all that's hapening, things are bound to look up - most important - take care of your health - the other stuff is almost finished - hang in there.
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I really hope so.
At least we have minimal stuff now and I can take a big nap today. Oh wait, I have to go to Wal-Mart and get a slipcover for the couch and chair since JYSK and Pier 1 didn't have them.

Ugh. When it rains, it pours.
After having moved 4 times in our 32 years of marriage, I told DH the only way I'm leaving this house is feet first on a funeral home gurney.______

I'd have stayed here forever, but alas, it didn't pan out that way. Hopefully once they finish the roof (which they said they'd start working on it tomorrow) and we get the house listed, it'll calm down. I told DH we should christen my Mojito kit tonight and he told me, "I think we'll have one drink and pass out from exhaustion."

He's really been busting his butt over the house, which I am so thankful for. For a long time, it felt like I was the only one doing anything. But now that he's willing to forgo sleep to get things done, I feel better about things.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I feel for you! I've been running on only a few hours of sleep for the past few days. Sounds like you're almost there, though. Just hang in there a little longer and once you've got the house under control make sure you take care of yourself!
